Chocolate Brown colour Nutiden - 80 - 90g each plate

Chocolate Brown colour Nutiden - 80 - 90g each plate

$25.00

Quite some time ago, during a late night feeding frenzy on the Honer Och Eir website, I purchased some yarn during one of their shop updates. I had been wanting a jumper quantity and ordered several plates of yarn. The yarn is wound into cakes that they call plates. The website was in Swedish and the currency was in Swedish Kroner. My fear of missing out was very real so I just added a quantity and clicked buy. Anyway, within days I realised I had bought AU$700 worth of this gorgeous stuff. Now I’m parting ways with it and hope you love it as much as I do.

The plates I have to offer range in weight from 80g - 90g each.

I suggest you look up the product at https://honer-och-eir.myshopify.com/ do some research on ravelry and find out some project details, also look at their facebook and instagram accounts, links at the bottom of their website.

I am selling the plates by weight and do not know the meterage. It is a very natural, sheepy yarn that has a beautiful heathered appearance due to the many breeds of Swedish sheep used in the making. All the plates come from the same mill run.

I’ve added some pics of projects made here too. The Time Piece Cardigan knitted by Caroline, the maker of Nutiden Yarn, used just over 600g with yarn held double. Please note the sleeve length. I also have used it in crochet and then felted it.

All I have to offer in way of description is off their website as follows:

Wool from our Swedish mill

“From our mill we give you carded fibers for spinning, felting and crafting. No chemicals added, no spin-oil - just the animals and natures wool.

We present to you pre-yarn Nutiden - a unspun yarn made to be used in various ways. Please not that each blend will be different therefore have different qualities and uses.

All are Swedish wool - made by us in Sweden.

Our fiber is 100 % Swedish wool - without additives (like spinoil) - all made in Sweden.

Gauge: because all blends are so different because we use old breeds of Sweden - it is very hard to say how many meters each blend gives - but I have knitted with 2 mm up to 5 mm with a single stand  - all giving a lot of interesting textures and results. Depending on your project you can always adapt and hold yarn double for thicker yarn.”
